Langdon Hall, Hotel & Spa, located in Cambridge, Ontario, recently announced its partnership with The Keep Refillery.

Langdon Hall will be  the first hotel refillery in the province. This partnership will reduce its waste and propel the hotel as a leader in the hospitality industry.

By completely eliminating plastic bottles from their room service, Langdon Hall is saying goodbye to mini shampoo bottles for good.

The Keep wants to empower consumers to make sustainable choices, and it starts at home.

Whenever possible, refill containers at bulk stores or ‘refilleries’. The more planning you can do, the better. Don’t do all your refills at the store – keep large containers of refilled dish soap, hand soap and so on under the sink and use those to refill your cute dispensers on the countertop. When you’re out of the product below the sink, it’s time to refill at the store.

With only 9% of all plastics actually being recycled, we are in big trouble, UNLESS we all start making some easy changes in our everyday life. The act of refilling offers just that. A tangible and less expensive alternative to single use plastic consumption.

The Keep Refillery – now in Toronto – is on a mission to get people rethinking their plastic waste. Their brainchild – The Keep Refillery – launched in a 200-square-foot shed in their hometown of Creemore, Ontario, in 2020 and now has four corporate locations, including their newest store in downtown Toronto which opened in March of this year.

What differentiates their model from others is the clear line they’ve drawn in the sand. All suppliers must be accountable for their waste, by either using zero-waste packaging or supplying product in refillable containers, and all goods must be high-quality and ethically made.

“Not only do we close the loop on everything, but we are a mission first company. What that means is every product that makes its way into our refillery has to work and has to be better than your leading brand … and it has to be affordable,” said Rushlow.
